Bill Boorman is the hat-wearing founder and host of #tru events. Over the last decade, #tru hosted over 400 events in 65 countries and 5 continents. He worked as a Training and HR Director at a national recruitment business for 12.5 years before the recession hit and he discovered social media. Now just @billboorman, Bill is consistently ranked as a top HR influencer, advises a range of organizations, and is currently building an extra career in stand up. His specialities include social recruiting integration and infrastructure, keynote speaking, recruiting technology, recruitment marketing, digital media and brand advocacy.
Nina Butzke is an in-house trainer at Babbel – Lesson Nine GmbH and co-founder of the Babbel Academy. Her experience in leading positions in start-ups and corporations combined with her own enthusiasm for learning in entertaining, practice-relevant and inspiring seminars led her to Babbel – but that’s not all. Nina also runs her own company Zügelführung, which offers horse-assisted team building and management seminars.
Erika has over a decade of experience in the HR field, and is currently the Director of People at Blacklane. Having studied in South Korea and France and worked in Malaysia, Finland and Germany, she applies a truly global mindset and approach and business and people challenges. Erika builds scalable data-driven people processes and strategies that support growing organizations. And she is passionate about finding and retaining the best talent globally to build beautiful products that make a real impact in the world.
Sarah has a double master degree in Business Administration (ebs, European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, DE) and Marketing (EAE, Escuela de Administration de Empresas, Barcelona, ES). She has more than 10 years of experience in local and global Brand Marketing, gathered first at Procter & Gamble and since 2014 at Zalando. In 2017 Sarah wanted to learn something new and moved to HR and is now Head of People Operations at Zalando with a team of more than 80 employees. She lives with her “4 men” (husband, 17 year old step-son and 2 little boys, 2.5 and 1) in Kreuzberg, Berlin.
Inga Höltmann is an expert on cultural change within companies, new work and digital leadership. She is the founder of Accelerate Academy, a platform to teach and learn about modern work and contemporary leadership. Among other things she is known for her successful newsletter; for her journalistic work on topics on modern economy for clients including Deutschlandfunk Kultur or Berliner Tagesspiegel; and her marvellous cooking. Hilary started her career in business development and consulting finding that business success lies in positive human interactions. She has since been an HR Leader for over 10 years working with startups and corporates in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Hilary is currently Founder & CEO of Quahog, an HR consultancy and is building a new tech business as Founder & CEO – Career Ari – the first automated career brand coach. She is the co-founder of The Secret HR Society (and she’s also a bit obsessed with the future of work, neuroscience in HR, German Bier and American sports).
Ecommerce to photography; corporation to startup; customer support to marketing – change has been the constant for Michael over the last couple of decades. After leaving eBay in 2015, Michael spent a couple of years running Marketing at EyeEm before recently switching over to take on the People and Culture brief. Recent months have been an invigorating crash course in HR as well as a continued focus on building the best possible team.
Inka is a consultant, leadership coach & trainer with 15 years of experience, working across the globe with large corporations and fast-growing new tech companies. Her focus is on leadership development driven by a strengths-based approach, fostering emotional intelligence. She also works closely with organisations enabling them to embrace a diverse and truly inclusive culture. A true international, Inka has lived for many years in China, France and the UK and has worked in more than over 20 countries on 4 continents. As a lifelong Learner, Inka can’t get enough of acquiring new skills (an improv course is next on her list).
Joris Luijke has over 15 years of experience in HR, primarily in high-growth tech companies. He is currently the Chief People Officer at Typeform, and previously served as the VP of People at Atlassian, Squarespace and Grovo. In his career, Joris has introduced countless innovative HR and recruitment practices that have been widely recognized through multiple write-ups and awards, including being named in the top 3 of Fortune’s Great Place to Work list in all three previous roles leading HR. His goal is to create the world’s best workplace, and he’s passionate about building cultures where people feel they can deliver the best work of their careers.
After starting his working life as a lecturer in psychology, Neil Morrison worked in a variety of HR roles at FTSE100 companies. He was HR director for the Random House Group from 2008 to 2013 and was instrumental in helping to steer the global merger with Penguin, becoming the HR Director for the combined Penguin Random House business. In 2017 Morrison joined Severn Trent, one of the UK’s largest regulated water companies, where he is HR director. He also sits on the board of the CIPD and works regularly with the REC, supporting, amongst others, its Good Recruitment Campaign.
Morrison is a regular commentator on HR and workplace issues and has written for a number of trade and generalist publications and websites, as well as his own blog, Change-Effect.
